This year we will be studying the Gospel of Mark. 

Mark is about Jesus. 

The theme of the Gospel of Mark is found in Mark 1:1:

“This is the Good News about Jesus the Messiah, the Son of God.” (NLT)

Do you want to know Jesus in a deeper way? 

God has given us the four Gospels to understand Jesus. We come to know Him, not just about him in these gospel records. He reveals himself to us. 

The Gospel of Mark will teach you about your Savior.

Last week I challenged the church to make it a goal to be at church 90% of the time. If you do, you will be exposed to the life and person of Jesus week after week.

By the end of the year you will know more about Jesus and know Jesus more.

Jesus is what you need more than anything else. 

He is a joy, He is true, He is good, He is a defender of the weak, and a friend of sinners.

This year could be the most significant spiritual experience of your life if you set your mind, your time and your feet to know Him!

Also I would ask you to pray for spiritual awakening in our church as we move through the Gospel of Mark. Pray for non-Christians to come, pray for the All Souls congregation to grow spiritually, numerically, and to grow in love.
