Basically every church you know of has been built up and funded by it's congregants.

Here's 5 reasons to give to All Souls Church 

1.) You have a place to worship and hear the Word in a diverse, loving community

 ….the household of God. This is the church of the living God, which is the pillar and foundation of the truth.

2.) We are a church that makes the main thing the plain thing

I didn't try to impress you with polished speeches and the latest philosophy. I deliberately kept it plain and simple: first Jesus and who he is; then Jesus and what he did - Jesus crucified.

1 Corinthians 2:1-2 (The Message)

3.) Grace for you and your neighbor

The Grace of God has appeared, bringing salvation for all people.

Titus 2:11

4.) We seek to bless the city spiritually, physically, and culturally 

Work for the peace and prosperity of the city where I sent you into exile. Pray to the LORD for it, for its welfare will determine your welfare.”

Jeremiah 29:7 (NLT)

5.) God’s people giving is the normal way he funds the mission and expenses of the church

Every Sunday each of you make an offering and put it in safekeeping. Be as generous as you can. When I get there you'll have it ready, and I won't have to make a special appeal. 

1 Corinthians 16:2 (The Message).

The Lord ordered that those who preach the Good News should be supported by those who benefit from it.

1 Corinthians 9:14 (New Living Translation)

Homework:

Pray through these Scriptures and ask the Holy Spirit to lead you into obedience. I am thankful for our church and I long to lead by teaching Scripture plainly to this congregation. Sometimes that requires addressing the uncomfortable topics like giving. My hope is that you’d see what God is calling you to.
