5 for you have been my partners in spreading the Good News
about Christ from the time you first heard it until now.
Philippians 1:3-5
New Living Translation
Last month I talked with you all about finishing our year off strong financially. We average about $12K per month in giving and we shot for $20K in December.
I am excited to announce that our little church brought in $20,068.60 in the month of December! Thanks be to God!
For the year we brought in $155,393! This brings our average month last year to about $12,950 per month.
Great job!
I am so encouraged by you all and thankful you've been our partners in spreading the Good News! Let’s keep it up in 2026!
For 2026 my prayer and hope is that we might average $15K per month and have a big December again.
What will this take?
I wanted to give you an overview of how it’s going as a church so you might see where we need to make changes and grow.
1.) Everybody Giving
- Last year 44 people gave to All Souls Church.
- 8 of these donors live out of state or go to other churches and gave 1 time gifts
- 5 of these people have moved away or moved on from All Souls church
- That leaves 31 people/households that gave anything to All Souls Church in 2025.
Our average attendance is between 30-35 people on a Sunday, but we have about 70 different people that come over the course of a month, not counting visitors. We just haven’t had a Sunday where everyone is there at once.
Based on the above numbers, most people who come to ASC don’t support the church financially. BUT! If we all pitch in, we can move the needle in the right direction.
2.) Sacrificial giving vs. tipping
The top giving household gave almost $24k last year alone while our smallest giving household gave $1 for the year.
- 13 households (21 individuals) gave 84% of the giving last year
- 2 of those 13 households gave 28% of the giving
- 31 households gave 16% of the giving
- 26 Households gave 0%
This presents a challenge to the majority of us.
Imagine what would happen at All Souls if 57 households prioritized God and his kingdom with giving this year! We are building a church together and in a small church we all need to pitch in.
Giving is an act of faith and it is a significant marker of our spiritual growth and maturity.
For those of you feeling challenged, I have a suggestion. A great way to step out in faith in giving to the Lord is to start with a percentage that you arrive at through prayer.
Remember, He is always faithful and will provide!
As a part of this church family, it’s important that you are aware of how we are doing as a church. I present this update to you for this reason and also to ask you to pray for our church.
If you have any questions about giving or how we use the money please just reply to this email and it will come straight to me. I'm always glad to talk about these things and would be happy to answer any questions.
I am looking forward to leading us into 2026 and I'm hopeful for God's provision and blessing on you and our church!
Grace and peace,
Pastor Harvey
