I Will Never Leave You

I Will Never Leave You cover for post

“I will never leave you or forsake you”

Hebrews 13:5

The best thing God has given us is his presence. As we see in the passage above, this promise is absolute. If you believe, God is with you and he will never abandon you.

This is the truth.

It is true if you feel it.

But it is also true if you are not “feeling it.”

He is with you when you pray and when you forget to pray or even refuse to pray. He is not only “there” but he is for you.

Not a hair can fall from your head without him taking notice. The minor and major details of your life are his concern.

Your feelings and experiences of God will come and go, but his presence in your life will not.

This is what it means to be a Christian. To be blessed with the grace of God, the favor of God, the mercy of God, the love of God.

The Triune God is with you today!

The Father is overseeing your life and guiding it through his providence (protective care).

The Son is your Older Brother who gave his presence to you in history to save you.

The Spirit is inside you helping you, leading you, convicting you, and pointing you to God’s love in Christ.

This is something we must accept by faith. Why? Because God has promised it in his Word and he never breaks his Word.

“So we can confidently say, ‘The Lord is my helper; I will not fear; What can man do to me?”

Hebrews 13:6

Grace and peace,
