The Eternal Yes

The Eternal Yes cover for post

For all the promises of God find their Yes in him.

That is why it is through him that we utter our Amen to God for his glory.

2 Corinthians 1:20

When you put your faith in Christ, God said “yes” to you in a thousand ways. Every promise of God is a “yes” for you because you are united to Jesus. Let’s look at a few promises that God has made to you and will keep for you because of your faith in Christ.

The Lord your God is in your midst,

a mighty one who will save;

he will rejoice over you with gladness;

he will quiet you by his love;

he will exult over you with loud singing.

Zephaniah 3:17

For I am sure that neither death nor life, nor angels nor rulers, nor things present nor things to come, nor powers, nor height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus our Lord.

Romans 8:38-39

What then shall we say to these things?

If God is for us, who can be against us?

Romans 8:31

Are not two sparrows sold for a penny?

And not one of them will fall to the ground apart from your Father.

But even the hairs of your head are all numbered.

Fear not, therefore; you are of more value than many sparrows.

Matthew 10:29-31

So do not fear, for I am with you;

do not be dismayed, for I am your God.

I will strengthen you and help you;

I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.

Isaiah 41:10

We begin our journey with God by faith in his promises, but we also live each day by faith in his promises. Take a moment to slowly read the verses above. Then put your faith in these promises because God made them and every promise is “Yes” for those who trust Jesus. You might even affirm to God out loud that you believe these things. May the Holy Spirit minister to you as you do.

Grace and peace,

Pastor Harvey
