"All souls are mine…"
-Ezekiel 18:4
There are four pillars in the All Souls Church Philosophy of Ministry:
Theological
Liturgical
Multicultural
Missional
1.) Theological
- At All Souls Church the Bible is our authority and studying the Scripture is our activity
- Expository preaching is our mode of teaching on Sunday (verse by verse/ book by book)
- Our Preaching is Christ-centered
- We run catechism for adults 8 Months a year (teaching Christian beliefs)
- Our beliefs align with the ancient Christian Church - The Apostles Creed, including a historic understanding of Jesus Christ - The Nicene Creed. We also find our roots in the Protestant, Reformed and Baptist Churches- The Second London Baptist Confession of Faith
2.) Liturgical
All Souls Church has liturgical worship on Sunday. Liturgy leads our Sunday worship (rather than personalities). A liturgy is a communal structure of worship that includes prayer, confession, reception of the Gospel, preaching, music, the Lord’s Supper and baptism.
Each week our liturgy goes through the story of the Gospel of Jesus. Our service is peaceful, contemplative, celebratory and spiritual.
3.) Multicultural
All Souls Church is a multicultural church. Our congregation is made up of different ages (0-87), multiple ethnicities, people from around the world, people from around LA, different backgrounds and opinions. We are all seeking unity in Christ.
4.) Missional
We seek to be in the city and for the city.
We do this spiritually through the ministry of the Word and Sacrament.
We do this physically by caring for the poor and meeting needs in the city.
We do this culturally by being a loving and faithful presence that is for the city and not against it.
